RP in SL

Some days ago I decided to try out some RP (roleplay). I had a look at some RP sims and came to the result. I do western RP. ;) Well, I had my western outfit already in my inventory and so no need to purchase and spend a lot of L$ in new things. The first western RP sim was great! A lot of people, sim crashing, a lot of lag, new weapons and and and...So after searching for new weapons, I got tired. The sim, where the shops were, was laggy and so unsorted :( I ran around like a headless chicken! Pfff And after the sim crashed I decided to have a look at the next western RP. By accident I tp'd to the Wyoming Territory. My friend Kaja joined me and together we walked around. We were so impressed about the landscaping. Kaja told me there are 11 different sims! Oh wow! And they are so amazing. You have to see it on yourself. The founder and creators of these sims made a very good job. ;) At the arrival station you can get your "Observer" tag or you use the "Cripple Creek Meter". The RP time is "Victorian", so of course you have to wear the right clothes. Ladies, no blinging boots or mini skirts! :) I know some girls love to wear them day and night lool Btw. I'm not a fan of such girls, I prefer the cute, causual look ;) *vd*

With the "Observer" tag and the "Cripple Creek Meter" you also get the rules, textures, what is allowed and what not, weapons and fight HUD. So a lot of free important stuff. I remember at one RP, which I tried out once, I had to buy a lot Pff But here you get it for free. ;) After you attached all the important things, you are allowed to feel free and walk around. But don't forget! After you entered the RP, you have to stay in role. You are now at Savage Frontier 1860. Don't be scared about all the notecards titled with "rules" ;) There isn't a lot to read about it and that what you read, trust me, you will love :) It is a NO DRAMA ZONE. At one point I'm not sure about the rules :( They are writing, "Basic guideline: If something wasn't around in the 1860's, it's not available in role play either." But did a chewing gum vendor exist at the year 1860?!?! Hmm, I think I have to research that.
Anyway, we walked around and the people here are very friendly and nice ;) And the place isn't overrun. Which I really appreciate ;) For people which would like to explorer new things in SL is this the best place to sneak into RP. And it is an amazing place to take pictures too :) Come and relax at the stunning beauty....

Welcome to Sheriwood

My dear friend invited me to an exploration through the forests of Sheriwood. I'm nosy and so I joined her :) Well, before you get there, you should really change your clothes. Loool The elves didn't look very excited when I got there in my jeans, shirt and baseball cap ;) But no worries, you can get free clothes for female and male at the welcome area. The places, Tirion Upon Tuna & Tirion Hunting Forest, are lovely! Walking through the nature, explorering hidden caves. Please be carefully! There are dragons! No, I'm not kidding! Per accident we fell in a dragon cave and there were pieces of the last victim. The best part of their philosophy is: "It is forbidden in our lands to destroy life." The RP based on the books and stories of the literary works of Tolkien.

After my feet started to hurt, we decided to sit down and let flow our both impressions.

Sheriwood lives in harmony with a group of loosely-related Sims known as the Builders of Arda (BoA). It is, indeed, worth a trip! The inspiration and the love for details reflects at these places.

The Dark Side of Second life...

... isn't always bad. Atrum Votum, a dark side touched Sim of SL. Atrum means "Dark Storm". You shouldn't be disgusted about the BDSM, Gor or Gorean things at this place. It is indeed a romantic place for lovers of all different preferences. And it is worth a visit ;) And it doesn't mean I'm Gorean or BDSM fan lool I only had a look ;) only for taking wonderful pictures..You don't believe me? Hmm, well then you should go there and have a look. The place is made with love and a good eye for details.

My visit at Drottningholm Palace Grand Opening Masquerade

As you can remember, besides on the calendar, I mentioned the big Grand Opening of the Drottningholm Palace - The Royal Court of Sweden. Oh, it was great. A new expierence. I never were interesting in roleplay in the last months, since I started SL. I thought SL IS still roleplay, but to play a roleplay in the roleplay, well yes, this was very new for me ;) So I got an invitation and my company had important RL things :( But nothing can hold me, when it comes to be nosy ;) And so I attend all by myself at this event. I don't regret anything. I was very amused. We all had to come to the center in front of the court, then we got our instructions and they told us the event program. All started with a impressing firework at the garden. Maybe I should say, all plays in the 18th century. Where the girls were miladies ;) and the guys are marquess. Well, maybe I shouldn't tell you, that I spent the whole day to get a adorable mask and to get the suitable costume for this event ;) Who said Rococo and Baroque are dead?? It is still alive at the Drottningholm Palace. If you don't believe me, go there, wear the OOC visitortag and try to find your role in this play ;) After we got to listen to a wonderful opera, the hunt started! loool Well, I don't know why, but in the last days it seems the hunt is hunting me :) All started with the "Kiss Hunt", I'm sure you heard about it. I would love to see you hunting around 200 lips in different stores on different Sims loool It is indeed, very stressful! But back to the event ;) before I get lost and end up 3 sites further on my blog loool I'm sure you wouldn't be very amused ;) So the hunt, after ONE, YES! We had to find on the whole Sim only ONE little swan! :( Now you can imagine, who didn't find it! Right. It wasn't me! lool OK, after this we were invited to the "Lustgarden" Hmm, well, for my ooption it sounded naughty, but still I was too nosy to figure out what it is. Nothing to worry ;) You have your clothes on ;) It is only a special name for this place, were we danced and got finger food. So when I count all together, it was an impressive event. Which I would love to attend again ;) I still hope, I'm on the invitation list ;)
